Family Confidence

For this cause I bow my knees unto the Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, of whom the whole family in heaven and earth is named.  Eph 3: 14-15

When someone is born into a relationship with the Creator and Father of all, the celebration is literally limitless. In today’s message, may we come a little closer to understanding and appreciating God’s amazing mercy and grace in His divine plan for us?  Let’s gather what the Bible promises when we confidently receive His Spirit into our personal lives, and enter into His Holy Family.  It says…

I am a new creature!  What’s old has passed away and through Christ, all things become new!  I am dead to sin and alive in Christ!  I am not open to fear.  Now that I am saved, I don’t have a sprit of repression that leads me to fear, but I got the Spirit of adoption that makes me cry out, Abba Father!”  The Holy Spirit recognizes me as God’s child as I must also.

I have been created in His image and I will begin to resemble Him because He is my Father.  I am blessed because His hand of blessing is upon me.  I am not a servant, I am a son (daughter)! I am an heir of God through Christ.  I have His Spirit in me!  I have a sprit of love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, meekness, temperance and faith!

I think of myself as the head, not the tail.  I must pay attention to what He says and carefully follow His Word.  When I do, that puts me at the top—never at the bottom.  I celebrate my redemption and proclaim it with my mouth.  I Say, “God has redeemed me from the enemy and I’m saying so!”

I am His handiwork.  He created my innermost being.  He knit me together in my mother’s womb, and He merits praise because He carefully and wonderfully made my spirit, soul, and body. I am confident and fear not because He has redeemed me and called me by name.  I am His!

I am the salt of this earth and light in this world.  I will not lose my savor and become tasteless.  I will not hide who I am.  I will stand out from the crowd, like a city set on a hill.

I know God loves Me.  He loves me so much that He gave His only begotten Son.  In that I believe in Him, I will not perish, but have everlasting life.  I am now a branch on the true vine–Jesus Christ! I  will bear His fruit, and when needed, He will purge me so I can bear even more.  The Father’s life runs through Jesus and me, and we are one!  I will follow His Word and abide in Him and He will abide in me!  I will not be fruitless or worthless to His great cause! I will glorify Him by bearing much fruit! I am a disciple of Christ!

I know that Jesus said, I am chosen.  “I did not choose Him, but He chose me and appointed me that I  should go and bear fruit , and that my fruit should remain, that whatever I ask the Father in His name He may give me.”   I am to be at peace and cheerful!  Jesus said, “In this world I will have tribulation; but be of good cheer, for He has overcome the world.”  Through Jesus’ victory, I have victory!

I am more than a conqueror.  Through Christ Jesus, who loves me, I win!  I am different.  I don’t conform to the corrupt ways of this world.  Instead, I choose to be transformed by the renewing of my mind to the Word—and prove the good, acceptable, and perfect will of God.

All glory and congratulations belong to God, but His refreshing and blessed identity comes my way.  I am a special child with a new family confidence, and no one can tell me differently.  I am welcome into His Kingdom and into His Holy and everlasting Family.  How do I know?  Because God said so!
