This is the day the Lord has made. I will rejoice and be glad in it. Ps 118:24
There is a painful connotation that comes with the idea of getting a ticket involving our automobile. If we choose to speed, drive under the Influence, drive and use a cell phone, violate a rule of the road or neglect our car registration / driver’s license requirement, we are likely to find that to be true in fact.
Lousy connotations and our vehicles aside, let’s focus on the way we’re driven in our personal lives today, and the potential we have to receive a more wholesome citation.
We all live our lives at a certain speed. Just think if an objective speed gun were trained on us. At various times and circumstances, we might be subject to being ticketed for living too slowly or too quickly for our own good. No matter the pace our life happens to be, let’s please stop and read the following poem by Thomas DeWitt Talmage. If we approach these words in a relaxed and cruise-controlled attitude, any ticket we receive will be spelled BLESSING.
For yesterday is but a dream,
And tomorrow is only a vision;
But today, well lived,
Makes every yesterday a dream of happiness,
And every tomorrow a vision of hope.
May we all have a blessed day and an “auto-ticket-free” week!!
Romans 15:13
Editor’s Note: Habakkuk 2:2-3New King James Version (NKJV)
2 Then the Lord answered me and said:“Write the vision and make it plain on tablets, that he may run who reads it. 3 For the vision is yet for an appointed time; But at the end it will speak, and it will not lie. Though it tarries, wait for it; Because it will surely come, It will not tarry.
The One who lives inside of us knows when we should RUN & when we should WAIT FOR IT. May he always guide our speed limit through life.

Good word. Reminds me of the old saying: Yesterday’s history, tomorrow’s a mystery all we have is today. Thats why its called “the present 🎁.” Let’s make the most of the gift we’ve been given.
