“But put on the Lord Jesus Christ, and make no provision for the flesh, to fulfill its lusts.” Romans 13:14 NKJV
Do you ever look around and wonder where this world is headed? Anger, division, hopelessness, fear, and danger are just a few of the veteran actors playing lead roles in and through people on our current hell-bent stage. We can merely observe as helpless spectators or choose to complain as grandstanding critics, but the true agents of change will instead focus their efforts on rising up to uphold an altogether different standard. Theirs is an active part in a counter-world godly play–one that features themes and movements of peace, unity, love, confidence and safety.
In our time here on Earth, we must discern the difference between a mere problem and a spiritual predicament. A problem is workable and has a resolution available somewhere. Conversely, a spiritual predicament is a presiding condition that serves to undermine and tear asunder God’s promise of abundant life. It is the very seal of a fallen world whose motive is to relentlessly steal, kill, and destroy all that is true and good. A supernatural intervention is the only way to deal with this predicament.
What form does this take? The answer is straightforward. First, we must acknowledge that there is a spiritual predicament. The Bible identifies the source very clearly… It is Satan who is the god of this fallen world, the spiritual producer of unrighteousness, the author of lies, the director of deception and the award-winning bad actor. In order to overcome the evil presiding condition that he fervently seeks to spread, his fiendish, melodramatic nature must be identified and wholeheartedly denounced.
There is an open call to actors who are willing to hail the God of Creation and don the splendid costume of righteousness, peace, and joy. This is the wardrobe design of the Holy Spirit. Worthy and powerful acting is the result of inspiration drawn from the sacrifice and redeeming performance of Jesus Christ on the Cross. His defeat of sin, death, the grave, and the devil ushers in the writing of a most magnificent play. Its title reverberates to the very balcony of Heaven: “The Supernatural Intervention Felt the World Round.”
So, my fellow actors and actresses, care to audition for vital parts in the greatest play ever written? There are a couple of things for sure – 1.) Although the analogy of a play is being used, this new life is based on ultimate truth and reality, not fantasy and 2.) When that curtain opens, a spiritual predicament will be no more!

Editor’s Note: When we put on, we’re not putting on an act, but we’re putting on a Divine Person & His traits.

I want a part in this play. I’d rather have a cameo in God’s production than a staring role in the world. Maybe a doorman?
